COUNSELLING

We understand that during different stages of your diagnosis and life it’s likely you might want to speak with a professional counsellor about living with a neuromuscular condition.

Your mental health is important to us, so we provide access to a free counselling service for our members.

Short-term counselling is provided by us through a third-party organisation and aims to support people living with a neuromuscular condition and/or their families with 6-8 sessions during transition phases of their journey, or during times of bereavement.

All sessions are confidential and can be taken at a number of locations around WA. For those of you unable to make it face-to-face, telephone and email counselling are also available.

Specialised bereavement counselling can also be provided.

If you or a family member would like to know more about what we can help you with and to arrange some support, please contact our Community Services team.

We provide a safe, supportive space to talk, but we are not a crisis service and cannot offer immediate emergency help.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000.
